Thursday, July 14, 2005Song Of the Day, July 11, 2005From the LP Kings Of Wyoming, Community 3 Records, 1989 A recent flurry of CD-R comp trading with Brian Kirk reminded us how good this track is. This is from what we believe to be the only release from Kings of Wyoming, masterminded by former 10,000 Maniacs producer Albert Garzon. Cathy Crane's charming vocal recalls good stuff like the Revolving Paint Dream or the Hangman's Beautiful Daughters.

A great unsung dream pop record. I used to play that cut on my old radio show.
Thanks for the kind words re: "Janelle" & "Kings of Wyoming" - I was the drummer for KOW. I came across this post after doing a "Kings of Wyoming" search to test out Google's new BlogSearch feature.
