Friends-
I really wanted to put up a song every day, so that folks could have one to look forward to on a daily basis, but obviously I'm falling behind; between school and work there are some days I just can't find the extra 20-30 minutes to get one done. I will be trying to catch up however, so please keep looking.
Also, thanks to you folks who have contributed to the comments. I truly appreciate all of the corrections, additions, and musings, and I owe some of you a response. Unfortunately I find myself wanting to put off responding until I have enough time to write a decent note, and of course, I never find the time. Everyone's kind words have meant a lot though.
Coming soon: An in-depth response to the Children of Nuggets box set, and a look at coming releases by artists featured on Little Hits.

Hi there -- just wanted to make sure I took time to thank you for the effort.
Checking in with your blog for the past few months has been a real treat. Somehow you've managed to capture what is so satisfying about digging through stacks of vinyl for unknown treasures, yet you've managed not to let immediate gratification have a spoiling effect.

Great great site! I've fallen in love again with powerpop/punky pop!! Hopefully there will be more of that type of sound (late 70s early 80s) in the future at little hits!!

What kind of moron would actually be so churlish that he would complain about not getting a new free obscure song every day? You have nothing to apologize for.
Little Hits is making me think seriously about starting my own similar mp3 blog, actually. There's so much great obscure stuff out there, it's not like Jon could ever find them all!
You are great, Jon. You don't have nothing to apologize. I only have to thank you for your work, it makes me feel like I was in the eighties, in my twenties. An Italian fan, from a very small town so far from music facilities.
Jon, I've been loving your site all year. I never seem to get around to posting comments and thanking you, but I think I've managed to download every song you've posted since New Years - though I sometimes don't have time to visit every day, so I download a couple weeks worth at once. You are responsible for a lot of what's on my iPod, and I'm one of many who really appreciate what you're doing. A few months ago I drove from Baltimore to Atlanta with my iPod playing mostly Little Hits - it was a great drive! No need to respond to this message - I know what it's like to be busy.
