Starting Over
Friends, I'm growing tired of pretending that I'm going to catch up someday. The next post will be the Song Of the Day for February 23, 2006. There will from now on be a Song of the Day almost every day, but I'm not going to scramble to catch up on missed days anymore. I can't seem to get to the computer and do this everyday, what with school and work and various other goofball projects.
I appreciate very much the efforts of Stewart Mason, Andrew Chalfen, Mark Griffey, Steve Mitchell, Michael Slawter, and anyone else who has gone to the trouble to send in a guest spot. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks very much,
Jon

I discovered LH only about a month ago and haven't posted before, so i wanted to say thanks...it's brought me a lot of enjoyment and introduced me to a ton of music i would never have heard otherwise (i was born in the 80s, so i missed the boat on a lot of this music the first time around, and so much of it strikes me as culturally important and worthy of attention). kudos to jon, cats, and guests for the excellent work!
Most humble thank yous.
Jon
i love the concept that you were trying to catch up, but i knew it was an incredibly high standard to keep to. better to enjoy and march on.
i love discovering new (to me) gems on this site. imagine how cool i would have been in the mid-80s if I actually knew most of this music!

Well, I think I speak for many of us when I say, "I'M OLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD!!!"
But thank you!
Stewart--I didn't mean it THAT way! i swear!
No problem at all - this will give us all a chance to catch up on all the amazing stuff you've already posted. The "Little Hits" section of my iTunes makes a great mixtape.
take a day off, people appreciate what you do here and will keep poppin in even if you dont post everyday. sharing something good is better than sharing everyday.
eh, if you can do both, then go for it.
ever hear pegboy's version of 'jesus christ'? ( on the 93 ep Fore)
Stewart might feel old...but I met him when he was in his 20s...and I was a bit past that decade already. I AM ANCIENT! Anyway: Jon et al., good stuff - keep it up!
Dear Lord, take a break, I visit frequently but I'm always amazed you update every day.
Little Hits has made the best mixtape on my iTunes, I have to check half the time what is playing.
