For the first 10-months or so of Little Hits' existence when Jon was posting songs on a daily basis, it was easily one of THE best mp3 blogs out there. I can't tell you how much of a joy it was to log on every morning in anticipation of what long-lost, forgotten, unknown track Jon would have up on thes site.

I'm currently in the middle of compiling all of the tracks, in the order that Jon posted them on Little Hits, onto CDs with fancy covers consisting of the record sleeves he included with each post for use in the car or any of the other CD players throughout the house and I have to say that they're some pretty damn fine compilations.

Is there any chance of a torrent, rapidshare or such of these lost gems?

Does anyone know where these can be found?

Does the owner have the db somewhere?

I am Canadian - this is legal here.

Thanks for posting those, Eric -- and covering for my slackness. (In my defense, I did say "email me": I wasn't sure if Carl would be OK with me just openly posting them, since I'm sure they remain under copyright. From the apparently positive response to your link, I see there was no reason to worry.)

What do you think about the heat that has swept across Europe? This is just an anomaly, so the heat was 30 years old.

Wonderful to find this!
Someone above wrote: "The singer/guitarist was Mike Sump…. who is in NYC now… lets hope he gets it together to record more music!"
Yeah, I was playing in a pedal steel guitar-saw duo with Mike Sump about six years back in NYC. The band was fun but never really made it off the ground. I know Mike was playing in the NYC subways a little bit at one point.
Anyway, for any Mike Sump fans out there:
I am getting ready to release a record that includes a bit of his wonderful pedal-steel-guitar playing. I looped some of his playing and made a tribute song for Mike from it, called "Sumptown." Here is a link to the record for anyone interested:
http://www.free103point9.org/works/494

Now I just need to track Mike down to make sure he's cool with it! He's as wonderful as he is elusive... If anyone has a clue where Mike is these days, please give a shout!
So great to see others appreciating his brilliance.
