Song Of the Day: June 30, 2005
Such a charming 45 by Stuart Moxham's post-Young Marble Giants project, and perhaps the high point for the Gist. Something about this seems like a prototype for several mid-80s synth-pop bands, though again, I can't say exactly what it is. It just has the feel of something somebody like the Fixx might have done, although I never thought that that particular band had any songs this good.

I heart the Gist, although I think that some songs on the album might be even better than this. The 45 is a cover art high point though. Thanks for your tireless efforts Jon.
Coincidentally, I heard the Fixx's "One Thing Leads To Another" the other day and was quite surprised at how well it's held up. The production is still quite striking and only slightly dated.
I recorded several great songs off of WHFS in Bethesda, MD in the 80's. Never knew who did them thought. This is one of them. Terrific. Thanks.
