Song Of the Day: August 17, 2005
High on the list of our favorite Sarahs is #28. This typically heartsick, atypically frantic single suggested that Action Painting should be able to produce a discography at least as extensive as that of the Orchids or the Field Mice, but sadly, it was not to be. The name Action Painting is probably a nod to the Creation, who used to burn canvasses as part of their act.

Thanks Jon!
More Sarah Records' EPs and Singles on the way???
I know that Lee of Action Painting played guitar for Shampoo...
P
Really?!?! How does one get that gig? Was there an actual band, or was he just a session guy? I don't know much about Shampoo, they didn't fare too well over here, but I sorta thought it was just the two girls...
Jon
Wasn't Lee Christopher also in Designer?
Lee Christopher was in Shampoo as a jobbing bass player - got on TOTP in U.K.
He got that role by tarting himself around in the right circles and by having the right 'look'.
He was by no means the creative/musical/artistic force behind Action Painting! but did make them better to look at.
dear me ...bitter are we..?
Hey Lee, is that you? How are you mate? In touch with any of the boys? I know vicey is alive thanks to facebook, but have no idea about Andy. Later.
Dan
