Song Of the Day: October 18, 2005
John Otway deserves far more description than we could ever provide here, so we'll just mention that he is one of the highlights of the film Urgh! A Music War, that he has a charming autobiography entitled Cor Baby That´s Really Me (Rock And Roll´s Greatest Failure), and that this B-side of "Really Free" is our favorite Otway tune, and that we covet a copy with picture sleeve.

One of my favorite songs EVER! Excellent choice!
I like Otway, but this isn't Otway -- a song called Guess I'm Dumb, which seems to be the Wondermints ('cos it isn't the Beach Boys...)
I was wondering the same... This ISN'T Otway!
...'tis the Rhinestone Cowboy singing.......the Wondermints covered this later. Mr. Campbell could sing.....

Right, Right. That was indeed Glen Campbell's Brian Wilson-produced "Guess I'm Dumb," which I guess sort of makes you all correct. The problem is fixed now. Just be grateful that I'm a retail clerk instead of a surgeon.
Best,
Jon
Thanks to Fowler Jones for introducing me to your site, Jon, which would have been worth all this time in the archives for the Comsat Angels, Undertones and Otway alone. Would that I had a recording of the KJ interview I did with Mr Otway and Wild Willy Barrett -- however embarrassing it may be due to my difficulties with their heavy accents. I saw Otway twice at the Opera House and he was great both times. This is my first ever blog post.
